In this role, you will develop machine learning models and data-driven solutions that bring intelligence to our search capabilities. You will contribute to highly visible features on our websites with direct impact to our travelers. • Work with product management to understand business problems, identify challenges and machine learning opportunities, and scope solutions
• Formulate machine learning problems, build data ETL pipeline, conduct exploratory data analyses, and develop effective models and scalable solutions
• Partner with engineering teams to deliver your solutions into production and to provide ML expertise support
• Document the technical details of your work
• Present your ideas and results to stakeholders and leadership teams in a clear and effective manner
• Collaborate and brainstorm with other team members and across the companyWho You Are
  • PhD or Master's degree in a technical field; or equivalent related professional experience
  • 3+ years of experience in building machine learning models in the industry
  • Solid understanding of modern machine learning theories and techniques, mathematics, statistics, and hypothesis testing
  • Hands-on experience with data wrangling, feature engineering, model building, and visualization
  • Fluency in Python programming and related machine learning tools (such as NumPy, Pandas, and scikit-learn), deep learning frameworks (such as TensorFlow or PyTorch), and SQL-like query languages (such as Spark)
  • Experience working with large data sets in a distributed computing environment
