Job Description:
A company is looking for a Commercial Underwriter I to assess
risk and determine case suitability for the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Perform risk reviews and make decisions on risk acceptability for
new business, renewals, endorsements, and reinstatements
Serve as a point of contact for Customer Service and Backoffice
teams while implementing underwriting procedures
Analyze internal and external data to guide pricing, underwriting,
and sales decisions
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and work-related
experience
6+ months of commercial underwriting experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook,
PowerPoint)
Willingness to pursue insurance professional designations such as
IIC, CPCU, AU, and/or ARM
1+ years of insurance underwriting experience in Commercial lines
is preferred
