This position is for U if you are a goal-oriented, positive, friendly person that has strong leadership and decision making skills, a strong work ethic, and are able to work at our Trier Rd. location, Fort Wayne, IN, full-time, 40 hrs/wk, with a rotating schedule of:(Week A) Mon & Tues: 8:15am-5:15pm, Wed: 8:15am-12:45pm, Thurs & Fri: 8:15am-5:15pm, & Sat: 8:45am-12:15pm(Week B) Mon-Fri: 8:15am-5:15pm & Sat: Off
RoleResponsible for directing and administering the operational and sales efforts of a community office. Ensures established policies and procedures are followed. Oversees provision of a full range of services to members and prospective members. Ensures members are promptly and professionally served. Increases branch profitability by meeting production goals while actively participating in local events to promote credit union visibility and market share growth. Trains, directs, and supervises branch staff, while maintaining a professional, cohesive working environment.
Major Duties and Responsibilities25% Acts as a loan liaison, between member and centralized underwriting department. Ensures loan requests are within established policies, limits and loaded properly before loan approval. Responsible for proper documentation and funding. Ensures that branch achieves assigned loan and account production goals. Demonstrations sales skills and abilities.
20% Manage direct reports to maximize productivity, efficiency, and the potential of branch personnel of the credit union, including: hiring, directing job assignments, monitoring staff performance, coaching, counseling, training, assuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational mission, values, policies and work rules. Appraise performance and provide recommendations for staff promotion and termination, as appropriate. Provides leadership and development.
10% Troubleshoots and resolves internal and external inquiries.
10% Builds rapport with membership to ensure that we are becoming their trusted financial partner. Ensures members' requests and questions are promptly resolved. Handles member complaints and provides solutions. Ensures members are informed of credit union services and policies.
10% Actively participates in cross-training and ensures direct reports are well trained in all phases of their respective jobs. Completes orientation of new employees in overall branch procedures. Conducts on going sales coaching, while ensuring staff is well-versed in all products and services. Routinely conducts security training.
5% Administers coaching, completes performance evaluations and recommends appropriate personnel action while working in conjunction with your RSM and HR team.
5% Responsible for maintaining and communicating needs of the office building, grounds, equipment and fixtures of branch.
5% Ensures all branch transactions are balanced at the close of each day. Servicing ATMs as required. Oversees individual accountability for the handling of cash and assists in resolving balancing problems.
5% Prepare and submit month-end work as well as retention of documents in accordance with procedures. Prepare and present quarterly sales report reflecting branch production, activities, growth and future action plans. Maintains communication with RSM and BrOps management team.
5% Monitors branch operations and supports branch teammates with all operational functions. Responsible for managing sales and operations daily for branch.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.Requirements:Knowledge and SkillsExperienceTwo to five years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions.Education/Certifications/LicensesHigh school degree or GED required. Incumbents are required to maintain their registration active, and current, with the National Mortgage Licensing System throughout their employment.Interpersonal SkillsA significant level of trust and diplomacy is required to be an effective subject matter expert in the position. In-depth dialogues, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature is a normal part of the day-to-day experience. Communications can involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance.Other SkillsMust have valid drivers license, reliable transportation to travel as needed and be able to be registered with the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS) for mortgage loans.
ADA RequirementsPhysical RequirementsPerform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of travel by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.Working ConditionsMust be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled private office with minimal noise.Mental and/or Emotional RequirementsMust be able to perform job functions independently and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must be able to plan and direct the work activities of self and others. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be able to perform basic financial calculations with extreme accuracy. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
